My LTE Network Extender tells all connected devices that they are in EDT when we are really in CDT. I've gone into Web Admin and set both settings to CDT, then saved those, then rebooted the LTE Network Extender. All connected devices still show EDT--which is the incorrect timezone.

This related thread has a post suggesting the extender may be getting its time zone from the router it is connected to. What time zone is configured in your router?

I have 2 of these devices and no matter what I set in the settings it always serves up Central Time when it should be Eastern. This has been an ongoing issue for probably 2 years.

I have had the Verizon LTE Network Extender since June 2023. I have researched and followed exact steps to make sure everything is set and saved to CT time zone. However, all of our phones, and anyone else that visits, that come into range of the extender change to New York Eastern Time Zone. It's frustrating to have to remind everyone to turn off "Set Automatically" on their phones. Family and friends have forgotten and left an hour too early on several occasions. Is there an answer to this problematic issue?

Thank you for reaching out with your concern about the time zone. Please see page 23 here: https://ss7.vzw.com/is/content/VerizonWireless/Catalog%20Assets/Accessories/Verizon/verizon-lte-netw... for how to set the time zone through your admin page. If the problem continues you will need to contact your internet service provider to have them calibrate the settings being sent through the date from them.

This cannot be true, nothing else has this issue until the Verizon LTE extender is connected. I have seen replies of your employees on this forum telling people they have to fix something in the backend. The fact that you are providing inconsistent information about something critical like time zone information leads me to believe we will never actually get this fixed. I’ve replied to customer service private messages and every time you get a new person who has no clue what you are talking about.

I will explain to anyone reading what is happening. The Verizon LTE Extender tells any device that connects to it that it’s in a time zone that’s incorrect. No amount of changes or admin switches in the settings will correct this issue.

Page 23 clearly states that updating the time zone in the Admin console only affects its logs and not the devices connected to the extender.
"The extender features built-in time zone and daylight savings settings to configure for your device. Time zone
settings only affect timestamps and logs where featured throughout the Web Admin UI."

I am having the same issue. It just started about a week ago. I have narrowed it down to the extender. As soon as the extender is turned off, the time zone on the devices is correct. I changed the time zones on the extender admin page, but that does not seem to fix the issue. As soon as we connect to the extender our time zones show Denver which is incorrect. Any help is appreciated.

We have been experiencing the same issue for some time now. We have tried changing the time zone in Admin, but that has no impact on the issue. This is particularly bad for us because it changes the time zone from Eastern to Central, causing any alarm to go off one hour late. If this can't be fixed, then Verizon needs to provide customers with an upgrade path or better cell coverage in their area. I've been a Verizon customer for 20+ years. This may be the issue that makes me start looking at other providers. Cell service at our house is terrible without the LTE extender and we live in a highly populated area.

jroof, being with us for 20-years is important, and it'd be disheartening to see that change over a time zone issue. So I can get a better sense of the issue, can you share with me where this incorrect time zone is displaying? Is the wrong time zone showing up on any other devices?
