Need Help Setting Up My Own Router

Hello, I am not a very techy person in this area and I need some help with how I should be doing this before I destory my home. 

I have a 3000 sq foot home, my verizon actiontec MI424WR router has never been able to cover my entire my home. Therefore, I decided to go out and purchase the NETGEAR Orbi Mesh Sytem that should easily cover my entire home. I have Fios TV also, which seems to be the issue between me and an easy setup. I want to keep my DVR and TV Guides, while using the internet from my new routers. I need to run an ethernet cable to my router as the MI424WR is currently hooked up through Coax, but how do I go about the settings of the routers to keep my DVR, etc.. Also, Can I purchase a preowned MI424WR to stop paying the rent for mine or will it mess things up? Hope my question is clear as I just want to know how to set things up, without the MoCa adapter.

You are correct in running the Ethernet cable to your Orbi mesh system. 

Once the cable is run, its pretty simple to keep TV service. You can purchase a preowned MI424WR to act as the MoCA bridge if you don't want to pay the rental fee. This MoCA bridge is needed to convert the data signal from Ethernet (from your Orbi router) to Coax (what the set top boxes connect too). 

The absolute easiest way to accomplish this without digging into the techy details would be to buy a MoCA adapter http://a.co/iIm8PiO. This setup would be plug and play. But you mentioned you didn't want to get one (they are a bit overpriced, in my opinion), so here is what you need to do to connect your MI424WR to the Orbi system:

Once your Orbi router is online and has Internet access (make sure to do that first!) take an Ethernet cable and plug it into one of the LAN ports on your Orbi router (any of the white Ethernet ports on the back of the device). Plug the cable into the MI424WR's white WAN port, and reboot the Aciontec. 

Then, reboot the TV set top boxes and check if they can access TV guide and on demand.
