Verion, do the right thing for the rebate you promoised!

I switched to Verizon with BYOD in November 2022, and was told I was qualified for the $500 BYOD rebate. I just got the notification that rebate was declined because the device wasn't activated within the time frame. But the device was activated in store, and the agent written down that I would get $500 rebate when he activated the line, and submitted rebate before the deadline.
Called customer service, and they told me the same decline reason. I'm confused and frustrated.
Verizon, please do the right thing and keep your promise!
