Device storage error - how do you clear it?

i repeatedly keep getting the error: "device storage is full, please delete useless files, otherwise applications might exit unexpectedly"

I have 3.6GB free showing on the device storage.

How can i clear this error?

Sorry to hear that you're having difficulty with your Ellipsis 7, cincinnatisteve! Even though you have plenty of available storage, the issues you're having may be related to a corrupt application. I recommend putting your device into Safe Mode (http://vz.to/UujJtt) for a period. Please keep us advised how the device behaves under Safe Mode. Thanks!
