How do I move apps to my SD card?

Today I spent $100 on a memory card for my Elipsis and cannot get apps transferred to it.  Put the same SD card in my droid phone and the same apps transferred successfully.  I even downloaded an app to help me to transfer the apps.  When it loaded I got a message saying the SD card was part of the OS so no transfer was necessary.  How do I load games such as clash of clans to my new memory card?  Or did I just get gipped?

The Elipsis tablets don't allow apps to transfer to SD.  They treat the SD as total system memory space.
