MiFi with Pro account

I bought a MiFi about 2 weeks ago, with a Pro 50GB per cycle.  after two weeks now I am informed I used 98% of my GB.   I still have 10 days to go.    I never game, I watched about 7 hours of Netflix in SD in total in two weeks.  What is happening?  I am so disappointed.   I did have my iphone on when at home, and now have connected it to my unlimited verizon phone account.   Reading what you said about the Pro I was assured it would cover me.   I really am upset.

NRC1, thank you for reaching out to us. Making sure your data usage is reporting accurate information is important. Allow us the opportunity to further review the details. Other than Netflix streaming, what do you use the MiFi device for? Also, do you turn off your MiFi device when it is not in use?  -Sylvia

Thank you for getting back to me.  I don’t turn off my device when not in use. Should I?   Would that be at night? Until a few days ago when I received your letter saying I had used 90% and had 10 days to go in my billing cycle, I had my iPhone and Alexa connected to the jet pack. In the 12 days that I used 90% of my GB I did  six hours of streaming Netflix  SD.  In the last couple of days I did not open my computer. I switched my iPhone to a separate Verizon account unlimited. Now I can’t even watch half an hour of Netflix or get online. I feel like there’s something amiss either in your advertising or in my use.  Is it possible I should send the MiFi back to Amazon? I really would appreciate any help. Also I signed up for the $40 a month Pro 50 GB because your agent told me that I would be able to get 50% off since I am on an unlimited phone plan.  I see that advertised as well. But you continue to charge $40 a month.  Now I can’t even look at my computer,  use Alexa, or watch a show. Not sure whether I should try another month or not. Thank you,

It really depends of how high the resolution is set to, but any type of video can take up a tremendous amount of data quickly. My first recommendation would be to check your resolution because turning it down a bit can save quite a bit of data. The JetPack isn't meant to completely eliminate home Wi-Fi service. It was created to be a travel source of data. It can certainly help you out where there is no data, but I would recommend getting Wi-Fi if you plan to watch videos, listen to music, and generally enjoy the internet to its fullest.

We're happy to provide you with any additional information that will help you decide whether or not to keep it.

There are certain phone plans that will give you half off on a JetPack plan. We're happy to take a look and see if you have a plan that qualifies. Please send us a Private Note for assistance on that. *Melissa

Thank you so much. When I looked at the Pro plan it mentioned quite a few hours of video etc and 50% off for those on an unlimited plan.   I only used about 6 hours video in Standard Definition in 12 days.    Now you are recommending the LTE  home internet service for $40/month.  I am willing to consider that if the data usage really is unlimited.  ???  As I understand it I would have to get your Gateway device at 10$ a month .  I am on a family plan with unlimited mobile service.   What happens if I move and don't want to keep the device?  And I have already paid for a MiFi, and I don't know whether to keep it or try to return it.   How do I send you a private message?
