Cannot connect to downloaded apps on Ellipsis 7 (Facebook, Instagram). Upgraded to the Ellipsis 10 and kept the 7 as a back up. Dropped the Verizon data plan and only used WiFi. It was good for about a month. Then could not update any apps. After several factory resets, any downloaded apps will not connect/launch. Anyone else have this problem before?

After doing the 15th system reset, then force stopping and clearing all data, then updating the apps on the App store, they are working now. Don't know why.
Thanks all.

It's important that your apps are kept up to date, Acedog66. Do you receive an error message when attempting to launch these apps? Since you mentioned doing factory resets, did you experience any issues when you added your Gmail? Are you able to access the Playstore without any errors?

When trying to launch the apps, the screen just goes blank(Facebook) or the screen locks up (Instagram). It does not allow login. A message eventually pops up (Program is not responding, report, wait, or quit). Gmail works fine. The play store is fine. It allows me to download the apps after reset, just the actually using the apps is the problem.

Also when I took the tablet into a Verizon store, several workers said they have never seen this before and were not able to assist me.

Acedog66, wow I am stunned that you are having any issues at all with these apps. Since the problem started with the Apps what other apps have you installed? Are you setting up corporate email on the tablet as well?

No corporate email. The apps that were installed and did not connect/work were Candy Crush, Vine, Twitter. None are able to be connected to. The screen just locks up or "Program is not responding" message. Also the cache had been cleared before also without much changing.

if you don't have anything to lose within those apps try doing a Force Stop and then Clear Data on all offending apps. you may even want to consider Uninstalling Updates

Yeah, that does not work either. The lock up or "Not responding". This piece of crap is now just a pretty drink coaster. Verizon store employees have never seen this problem before therefore they cannot help. Also due to me dropping the data plan for this tablet it is no longer under warranty.

Acedog66 I rely heavily on my tablet. I want you to be able to as well. So that I may assist further, I have sent you a Private Message.
