I can't turn on background data on my ellipsis 8 to download games on Google play,
Aokeefe, games are half the fun on this tablet. Let's get them going again. What happens when you try to download games? Is your tablet's software up-to-date? Where are you trying to enable background data? Settings/Data Usage/3 dots in the upper right-hand corner/Enable Background Data

I would suggest checking the Data Usage setting in the my device settings for the Background Data restriction.

you have to go into app mgr and clear data on the settings app which is under the all tab. then go back and background data will be an option to turn off
