system error message when accessing portal

I have a mifi jetpack and when I want to access the portal i get the message system error. why is this occurring?

Call the phone number listed, press 2 to add, and follow the prompts. Once you hear your new balance, hang up and call back. This time press 1 to speak to Tech Support. When the agent answers, say “My Prepaid balance is ___, please activate my data plan!”
