The live coverage map on this public link of Verizon (Verizon Coverage Map: Nationwide 5G and 4G LTE Network Cell Phone Coverage | Verizon) literally shows my address capable of 5G ultrawideband. I literally switched from the Google Fi which is $50 cheaper than my current plan (5G do more + tablet unlimited plus) with average of 30-40mbps everywhere to a $130 plan with the dream of 5G UW. All I got after that was the 4mbps LTE in my address. After research, turned out my address was only covered with 4G LTE (Troubleshoot Assistant Coverage map), I didn't expect much from the UW but for real not even 5G for a $100 plan?

I have the exact same issue. About 2 weeks ago, my area shows to be smack dab in the middle of the 5G ultra wide service area. Nada. I do get 5G but now UW. A call to our local, non-corporate store says we are not in the 5G UW coverage area. A good friend of mine just got 5G business internet installed and is getting 300Mbps download speeds. Literally 2 miles from me. According to the 5G Home internet on the website, it is not available at my address.
I have literally been to 5G UW areas like Dallas, etc. and nothing. I have a device capable of receiving it.
I too like you, changed my plan to get the good stuff and now I can't go back to my old plan. Live and learn I guess.
