Brand New Customer, regretting it same day?

My birthday is tomorrow and I thought hey maybe I'll finally switch to a company with better service as a little treat to myself, so I took myself and my elderly father over to a Verizon company store and spent a few hours getting us set up with two brand new lines. Two hours after switching to Verizon I no longer have any service on my phone, and by that time the store and customer service are closed. My father's phone works but mine has a nice little ghostbuster on it instead of any service, and since we do not have wifi my phone is now an expensive brick. Going outside does not fix it, and the location should not be an issue anyway since his phone works. I have done everything the automated system suggested for troubleshooting, and 'Live Chat' I assume nobody is there and should be marked as closed at night since I left the window open for 1-2 hours and the estimated wait time stayed at "20+ minutes" for most of it, only giving me hope when it dropped to 5 minutes once before going back up again.

no help at all. I cannot get the Disney bundle to work and have spent hours trying. from forums I see I am not alone also leaving the store I find I did not get 5G, as promised and paying for. also I find insurance coverage added back on my old phones at $35, once I cut it off, was offered the same at less than half. . this is like DMV service in Ca. 

I really wanted to get better Internet speed but now its a big headache. someone needs to call me before I change providers. a month now and cut offs, blurry TV at time,  and that chat bot is really annoyingly stupid.
