Do I Have To Have A Data Plan?

I wish to buy the Revolution from LG but i do not want a data plan, I like the phone for its size i have really bad eye sight so the fact that the screen is really big is nice i will be able to see my phone better however i really do not want a data plan with it is this possible?

I'm sorry to say, but at this time all smartphone must have the data plan of $30 or higher . hopefully soon they bring in a lower plan but no luck so far .
