I was unable to sign up for MyVerizon to check my usage on my new Samsung Hotspot.
They send a text to the phone (which I obviously do not have) so I cannot retrieve it.
I tried installing VZManager but the new Hotspot does not act as a USB Modem so no go that way either.
The only solution was for Verizon to mail me the password. I probably could have gone to a Verizon store and put the sim card in a phone to retrieve the message but they only send it for 24 hours and time is up.

I guess I should have asked if there is any other way to check data usage?

If you have a droid, you can use the MyVerizon app while connected via WiFi to access the account assigned to the 4G Hotspot.
When you run the app, it will say that it is unable to auto log in using WiFi and then ask for your userid and password.
The user id is the phone number of the device and the password is the same as the account you use when you look at your bill.
With that app, you can easily see the calculated totals. Much easier than attempting to see the same info via a smartphone using the regular website.
It would be nice, if you could save the settings so that you don't have to reenter them every time you use the app.

Please allow 5-7 days for delivery.
