Does Verizon throttle data speeds at certain times? Or do they cap your daily usage? I stream music at work everyday and have no issues with buffering, but it seems that every day around the same time I can't play a single song or load a web page. It gets pretty annoying as I pay for unlimited data and yet struggle to get through one song without stopping to buffer every teen seconds, even when I set audio quality to low. I never used to have this problem. Seems like Verizons service is starting to not be with the premium they charge for it.

We want you to get the service you need, we can review your plan details and confirm the services available. Do you know which unlimited plan do you have?

It's not about the service I need, it's the service I pay for. It's just getting worse and worse. I've stuck with Verizon since I got my first cell phone 15 years ago because they had the most reliable network, but it feels like that's just not the case anymore. Not within the past year or two anyways. I can't tell you what plan I have because the app tells me I don't have any connectivity when I try to view my plan. But I can tell you I pay almost $100 a month for what feels like dial up connection speeds.

It's great to know that you've been with us for such a long time. I'm sure you would also recall that we've always come out with new data plans with better options to choose from every so often. Our current unlimited data plans do show the differences between them, so it is important to know what your data plan is since that can affect your usage experience. You would have a data connection to contact us here, so please retry your online access again.

I had to load my Verizon account though the web browser at a painstakingly slow load time because the app times out. But it appears I have "The new Verizon Plan Single Smartphone Unlimited" which states i have unlimited data and may experience slow downs during heavy traffic AFTER I exceed 22GB of usage. However, I don't think I have ever exceeded that threshold. So I should have the same speeds I used to experience, unless Verizon is purposely throttling me despite my allowance to try and push me into a newer plan that I don't want, or need.

Bigespecv,
We want to get to the bottom of your speed issues once and for all. I assure you we are not trying to push anything on you. Do you notice a pattern to your slower speeds? Is this only at the home address or certain times?

It's mostly when I'm at work. It started to only be in the afternoon, but now it seems it's all the time in this general area. My speed at home isnt great either but I believe that's due to the topography of where I live. But I have WiFi at home so it's not as much of an issue as while I'm at work where my service used to be great.

Bigespecv, thank you for providing your Zip Code. Currently, there are no issues in the area. Are the issues only happening when you are at work? How is your service when you step outside your work location?

Service is the same quality whether inside my work location or outside of it and in the immediate area. It's not until I get into town a few miles down the road that my service gets even remotely better.

Bigespecv,
I appreciate the added information. What is your signal strength currently? What speeds are you getting? Please use this link to test: http://spr.ly/6187DxiIV and share the results with us.

They are sending me an LTE extender for free, I live in Des Moines IA Metro and the service has gotten really bad here too. Something is up with Verizon's network not sure what they changed. Well guessing the same as you that they are working on 5G so are not maintaining their equipment properly anymore.
I know I opened a ticket and they immediately closed the ticket without any investigation. I will open a new one again because yeah same thing I can't use my phone to listen to music anymore during my walks it happend Friday 8/19/2022 at approx 4pm my bars went down. So really is not as much fun anymore why pay for Unlimited if the data speeds are so slow. I just grabbed my old Freedom Pop hotspot its on AT&T network so a good backup so works good to put in my pocket for wifi for my tunes not a great fix, but something to think about until Verizon improves. I am sure they will work on the problem eventually so sticking around and hoping.

Having the same problem. I'm at home or around town, no problem except where they test 5G. When I leave town speeds drops from 80mb/s to 0.5mb/s if lucky to 0.05mb/s the other day. My phone is simply voice and text for $144.

This is definitely not the experience we want you to have. Nowadays, we rely on our phones for many tasks, so we know how important it is to have reliable and strong signal. Our goal is to provide you with a great wireless experience, so we would like the opportunity to work toward a resolution. We would like to gather more information to further assist. Can you describe what type of service you are receiving in and out of your work location when it comes to calls, texts and data experience?

Calls are fine when I make them in the office, texts can be slow on occasion, but the worst is sending pictures. That takes a very long time if they go through at all, sometimes they fail to send completely.

Thanks for getting back to us. What city and state are you in? Do you know other Verizon users near you with these same issues? Thanks in advance.

I am in Irwin, Pennsylvania. I do not know if anyone where I'm having issues are having the same problem as they are on different carriers, and having no issues. My co worker works right next to me and has no issues with AT&T.
