Sales Maker Discount

Hi-

I have trying to get onto the sales maker program for the last 3-4 months. It says I'm verified but it is not applying any kind of discount. When I call in, everyone says they do not deal with the sales maker discount. All of the customer service reps have failed to give me any contact information for anyone that can help with the Sales Maker discount. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Did you ever get the problem resolved? I am currently as well as employee counterparts going through the same issue.

I’m having the same issue. The link provided gives me the same error of “We’re sorry.” I contacted chat and was told that I needed to call into the validation department and then told that this department does not handle SL or sales maker accounts. Can you advise me on how to validate my account? I’ve also had this account for more than 5 years. Thanks

My goal is to help you move forward. To clarify, other than the link being validated. What questions or concerns do you have for us right now?

Renewing the Salesmaker Discount has been an absolute catastrophe.

I'm an Apple employee and I received the email to renew the discount at the start of May.  The Verizon webpage to do this would not work.  It would just go in a loop back to the main discount page.

I call customer service and absolutely no one knew what I was talking about.  By the fifth call over the month, I finally get someone in Employee Validation on May 24th.  He confirms the problems with the website and says I need to mail in a paystub.  I do that the next day.  They still have not processed that- 11 day business days later.

I get another email saying the discount has expired!!  NOW the renewal website works!!  I enter my work email and run to the nearest Apple store (not the one I work at) and validate the email the system says.

Now my next bill generates and it is $65.00 higher than in the past because the discount had expired for a few hours.  The next bill (July) shows $85.00 more than I've been paying the last 2½ years with the Salesmaker discount.

I am now currently on the phone, on hold, to see if they can straighten this mess out.  The agent I am speaking with says I'm the fourth person she's spoken to with the same issue in the past few weeks.   This is a known issue.

So the outcome, is I will pay more this month, and I will get a retroactive credit for that amount.

I think that someone at Verizon really needs to make fixing the validation page a priority.

Verizon can be sure that I'll be keeping a very close eye on my bill to make sure that not just the discount is put back, but I am credited for the higher amounts I'll be paying this month, and possibly next month.

For anyone else with this issue...just keep at it with customer service and make sure they know you're talking about the Salesmaker Discount.

I have had the same problem and I have been on hold with concessions who will send you into the vortex of no help abyss. No one cares and you will just get the run around I have called the concession line, which makes me call Apple, which makes me call validation center which makes me call customer care that connects me with concession line. I do not know what the fix for it. In my last 14 years every 6 months I go through this same thing.

Uh... when the Verizon discount page actually works, it sends an email to our work address to validate.   Apple employees can only access email on the company computers at an Apple store.   We cannot get our email on our personal devices- phones, computers, etc.

What do you think the chances are that those iMacs have Chrome installed on them?

If that was the issue, that Verizon couldn't play nice with Safari, then someone at a Verizon is really not too bright.

I figured it was time to post an update to the mess that Verizon's website debacle caused with my Sales Maker Discount.

Ever watch paint dry?    That's about what's happened since I first posted here on June 10.

My eligibility for the discount was validated on June 2- 35 days ago, but since then I received one monthly bill of about $163 and another one is about to generate for just over $186.00.  With the discount, my monthly bill has been $112.00 to $113.00 each month.

So as of now, Verizon owes me about $125.00-  that's more than what my bill has been the past 33 months since first qualifying for the Sales Maker discount.

Now, Verizon says it take two or so bill cycles for the discount to kick in.  I say that's just stupid.  There is NOTHING stopping the person with the access to bring up my account (and that of everyone else in this mess) and INSTANTLY apply the discount.  The idea of waiting two or three months is just corporate bulls*&t.    It could have been done literally the day the validation finally went through... in other words five weeks ago.

I know the discount will eventually kick in, but I can't wait to see the fight to get the money that was promised back on the bills without the discount.

And for the Verizon reps that read these threads- when I'm asked by customer which carrier is best, I say Verizon.... but now I'm starting to wonder.

Well, another three weeks has gone by and no sign of my Sales Maker discount being reactivated on my account.

I'm seriously thinking of just switching carriers.  T-Mobile is looking mighty good these days... their coverage has improved greatly since I was last with them in 2012.

On this message board, I had direct messages from FOUR different Verizon reps...the end result was. "Oh we can't handle SalesMaker discount questions."   THEN WHY THE H*LL DID YOU MESSAGE ME????!!

I've been a Verizon Fios customer from day one it was available in NYC- almost 14 years, and mobile customer since 2012... I have never seen a total foul up like this from Verizon.

I called the regular customer service line the other day- also, they see that my eligibility for the discount is validated...but still hasn't gone through.

I can't help but picture that there is one 9000 year old man in a cave with a 1990 vintage computer applying the discount to each customer at a time...at a pace that would make tortoise look like an Olympic sprinter.

Come on Verizon... you ALL can do better than this.  Someone needs to just go into the system and apply the discount.  It is almost two months now since getting revalidated.

Oh, right now, Verizon also owes me a credit of $120 for the two bills I received without the discount.  (Remember, it expired only because the VZ website wouldn't work to enter the revalidation.)

We want you to get the right support. Since this is a missing Sales Maker Discount, you will need to contact your Verizon Indirect Account Manager for assistance.

Well, sent him an email a week ago...and no reply.  Have spoken the the billing department, and they have no clue.

This is just insane.   When I first applied for the Salesmaker discount soon after being hired by Apple, it took less than a week for the discount to get implemented.

And what do you do if they refuse to help or are of no help? Then we are stuck without any assistance. There are tons of people dealing with this and I’ve dealt with it since March and have got zero help. It seems with the validation website being broken if your validation falls off it’s nearly impossible to get reinstated on the sales maker program. I’ve called y’all probably fourty times and have been lied to every single time and have gotten no where reinstating my sales maker discount even though they can clearly see I’ve had it for nearly five years if not more.
