I have a Novatel USB551L 4G modem. When I first got it I was seeing great speeds on speed tests of almost 20Mbps.
This week, after the latest VZ Access Manager update - 7.7.1.1 (2681d), I'm seeing download speed tests of 3-5Mbps.
I'm not sure if this is typical. Seems like something changed but I'm not sure what.
Firmware shows - MDM9600-1.41.01 [Aug 29,2011 23:09:40]
Signal shows 3 out of 4 bars - RSSI (4G LTE) -62 dBm, LTE SINR 19.4 dB
I have tried reinstalling the VZ Access Manager software, I've removed/reinserted the SIM card.
I have not yet tried reinstalling the software that first came with the modem though.
This is in the Fresno, CA area - downtown.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Looks like I'll answer my own question.
I removed all the VZ Access Manager software and the Novatel drivers.
I reinstalled from the CD that originally shipped with my modem version 7.6.3 of VZ Access Manager.
Things are much better now.
