number transfer pin

My phone recently had a battery issue and is non functional.  I only have one other phone on the account that belongs to my daughter.  It is nearly dead as well and only powers up for short periods.  I'm trying to get a number transfer pin,  but the only options are to text one of the numbers to the phones that are not functional.  I've been on chat with Verizon with several different agents who say there is nothing that can be done.  Is there some way to get a number transfer pin without needing to receive a text,  as that's not really possible for me right now.

Admin note: If your device is not functional than you will either need to have an authorized Account Owner or Manager with a functioning device log in to complete the action.  If there is not another Account Owner or Manager with a working device, visit a Verizon store to complete in-person. Request a Number Transfer PIN online

To request a Number Transfer PIN online, go to the Number Transfer PIN page and click or tap Generate PIN. Your PIN and Account Number will display on the screen.

Keep your Number Transfer PIN and Account Number safe and do not share it with anyone except the new carrier or an account member. Verizon will never ask you for this information.

The Number Transfer PIN is valid for any line being transferred from your Verizon account. The Number Transfer PIN is valid for 7 days so it is important that you provide this information to your new carrier immediately to prevent fall out.

I've tried that.  The options are to send a verification code to one of the lines on the account via text.  As per my original post,   my phones are non functional,  and I cannot receive the text with the verification code.   I'm looking for a way to get the code without having to receive the text.

It's been a while since I've tried to generate a PIN so I logged into my account out of curiosity and now see what you mean. The instructions imply that a PIN will be generated basically immediately after tapping Generate PIN, they don't mention the verification step via text that's required. Have you tried using your daughter's phone with it plugged in, in the hopes that it'll stay powered up long enough to receive the confirmation text?

We've tried,  but we haven't been able to get it to hold a charge long enough to get the text.

Were you able to resolve the issue? I have the same problem where I am unable to complete the verification step using a phone.

Allow us to apologize if you have come across any issues receiving your Transfer Pin, aht107. May we ask what exactly is occurring when you try to obtain it?
