Can't set up payment method

I cannot add a payment method to my account for autopay or to change my monthly plan to get more data (which I accidentally used up by leaving WiFi turned off on my device). The payment method I had saved previously expired, so I needed to add a new one, but when I try to it simply says "Error You cannot add any more funds to your account this monthly cycle." The card information is definitely correct, but it simply does not allow me to add a payment method or change my plan or anything. I would like this resolved before my plan expires, so I can keep phone service.
