I was unable to have my question answered by the "Verizon Pre-Paid services line at 1-888-294-6804 as it is menu-driven and does not allow for a link to a real LIVE person. I've had a Verizon pre-paid account for many years and I understand that my (billing) plan is NO LONGER OFFERED. Therefore, I am in a "grandfathered" arrangement. I have a Samsung Gusto (flip) phone. I wish to move up to a new "smart" phone but still want a pre-paid plan. I have a large account balance on my phone so would want that TRANSFERRED to any new Verizon plan. Explain how.
