If I am in the US, but close to the Canadian border, and I get a text message saying Welcome to Canada, will I be charged International Rates?

If you're on a plan that includes coverage when using the Canadian network no, if not yes.

JESPAR33, we never want you to get any extra cost for usage when not actually traveling internationally. Typically, that message means that your phone is connecting to a tower in Canada, which would mean that usage would be considered international.

You can shut off Roaming within your phone's Settings to ensure your phone only connects to our network. Also, depending on your plan the usage with Canadian service may be included, but we can only confirm that if we know exactly what plan you have.
