I commute between USA and CANADA frequently. With the "Global" setting on my phone it works in USA, but I have issues in Canada.
I currently have to manually switch between :LTE/CDMA (For USA) and LTE/GSM/UMTS (For Canada) each time i cross the border. With this manual change everything works fine, I get Data and Talk in both countries. But I do not want to manually change each time, because sometimes I forget.
My Verizon plan:THE NEW VERIZON PLAN 12 GB
International Services Enabled
TravelPass with Mexico and Canada Included
My phone: Moto X Pure edition
Bands as per specs
- UMTS GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
- UMTS/HSPA+ (800, 850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz)
- 4G LTE (B1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 20, 25, 28, 40, 41)
- CDMA (800, 850, 1900 MHz)
My Android version: 6.0
Is there anything else I can do so I do not have to change the "Preferred Network Type" manually each time?
