What is the best option for using my device on a cruise?

I'm going on a 7 day cruise to Mexico. I would like to talk to my kids every night briefly to say good night. What would be my best option money-wise? I hear there are WiFi plans on the cruise or should I go to Verizon? I don't know what would be the cheapest route.

How exciting it must be to take a gorgeous trip to Mexico! Oh, I’m so jealous. I can understand wanting to keep in contact with the kids everyday, I would do the same too. In keeping with your concern of paying the lowest price, I would recommend using the ships wifi pls. However, most cruise ship voice minute prices are between $1.79 - $2.49 per minute. The best option is to not use your phone on a cruise. It is very expensive. Barring that you should visit the website provided.
