You are not allowing 4g to be used on your pre pay plans. When other companies will allow bring your phone to their companies and activate. Someone at Verizon is dropping the ball and forcing their customers to other companies...seems like bad business plan to me!!!

I understand your concern, 04paula! At this time, prepay service only operates on 3G technology. Since 4G is not available, a 4G device is not compatible. Go to vzw.com/prepay to view available devices.

I'm thinking they would lose pospaid profit if they had 4G service on prepaid.

All those other companies are allowed to throttle 4G data. Verizon isn't. There's your answer. Blame the FCC.

You cannot use any 4G phone from Verizon on Straight Talk. You can only use 3G phones. Also Straight Talk limits it 3G data to 2.5 GB despite saying it's unlimited and even though it might be using Verizon's network Verizon's own customers get priority on the network. Any congestion in the area MVNOs like Straight Talk get booted off first.
