Will I be charged for texting someone who is out of the country?

Hi- so my boyrfriend is in South Korea for the Army. He has an international plan with unlimited text messaging. However, if I were to text him would I get charged for sending a text

micpal36 Thanks to your boyfriend for his service. Don't stop those texts as I'm sure it's your only way to communicate. You will not be charged extra for sending a text to someone on Verizon Wireless who is roaming.
