I purchased a Droid RAZR on June 4th with the understanding that I would receive the 4GB upgrade on the data plan. Verizon did not and will not honor this promotion because, in their words, I manually activated the phone and the promotion was never applied to the account and there was nothing they could do. Really? Nothing? Even though I attempted activation through the device 3 times to no avail? I have documentation that I placed the order during the promo and added the promo upgrade on the order. This is totally unacceptable and I am angry & disappointed in Verizon's customer service. I have been a customer with Verizon for 10 years and never experienced anything like this.
I am curious if anyone else has had issues with Verizon not honoring this promo? Thanks.

If you have the record of the purchase, and it lists the option to add the "Double Your Data" on it, then I would just go to a Corporate Store and talk to someone there. Did you buy the phone through Verizon Online? Somewhere else?

Thanks for responding, NuDroidUsrr. I did buy the phone through Verizon online and I do have the email receipt that shows I purchased the phone on June 4th (within the promo dates) and did add the "Double Your Data." I haven't discussed the matter with anyone from a corporate store. I've only spoken with personnel over the phone, email & fax. I shall try the local Verizon store. Thanks again.

No problem, I have had questions like that also, and I have gotten no where with phone support. The only way I have gotten things resolved has been to go to the store and show them my information. They may ask you to mail the stuff in so their customer service office or somewhere like that can make the change, just remember to make copies of all the stuff you send in.
