Android 7 won't allow me to move or copy files

Since installing Android 7 when I connect my phone to PC via USB and try to move files or photos from one place on phone to another it just says that my phone is busy and never does anything.  The only way around this now is to move the file to my PC first and then move it back to the phone.

Which phone model do you have?

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

If all your doing is moving files around on the device it would probably be easier to install a file manager app from the play store.

Before the Android 7 update I could hook my phone to my PC and move files

from the phone to the PC and also move files around on my phone, but now I

can no longer move files around on the phone it always says "Waiting- phone

is busy"

I hope this helps solve the problem.

My phone is a Droid Turbo 2 and I'm connecting it to my laptop running

Windows 10 via USB. Just to summarize before the Android 7 release came

out I could connect my phone via USB and transfer files, photos etc from

phone to laptop (I can still do this) and move files around on my phone

from one place to another. After Android 7 update I can no longer move

files around on my phone while attached to my PC, when I try to do this it

says that the phone is busy. I get around this by moving the file from the

phone to the PC and then moving it back to the phone in the folder where I

want it. Let me know if you have any questions.
