Anyway To Change Fingerprint Wake-up

I have a Moto z4, unlike my previous phones which had a finger swipe to wake them, this phone has a fingerprint hold to wake it up. I strongly dislike this, every time I go to use my phone it tells me "finger removed too fast please try again" (how can it be too fast when it recognizes my finger?) It usually takes me a few tries to get it to register my finger (or I just give up and press the off/on button on the side.) I do not have fingerprint security set up, this is just for the phone wake-up. Is there anyway to change it to a swipe like on the older models? I never had any issues with the swipe working.

Getting the most out of your phone is really important. The alternative to using the fingerprint sensor to unlock your phone is to simply use the power button to wake it up.
