I want to download my pictures from my Droid Turbo to my PC via USB. I've done this often before. However, this morning the phone was up upgraded to 24.81.5.en.US. Now, when I connect the phone to my PC, it appears in the list of devices in the File Explorer but displays
"This folder is empty." in the window.
Also: when plug in the phone to a USB port on my laptop I'm prompted to select an action. When I select "Import pictures and videos" it says there is nothing to import.
There are pictures on the phone. How do I retrieve them now?
On the phone, did you change the USB connection type from charging only to File Transfer?

How do you change from charging only to transfer? I did not have to do this before the update.
The Marshmallow OS update changed the USB default mode to charging only. See if this helps:
