Son was updating droid 2, now keeps receiving error message that com.android has stopped. Hit ok and nothing. Battery finally died and he's now recharging. Any ideas what to do next?
The DROID 2 is a really OLD phone model. Are you actually referring to a newer model phone?
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
It better not be an old phone for the price Verizon charged! He still owes a lot of money onit!! It's a white droid turbo 2 with 32 g, no sd card inserted. It's basically stuck a resetting cycle. He can't even get past the lock screen now.
Ann154 and I both thought you were referring to the original Droid device 2. I still have one and recently used it to play music in my garage on Wi-Fi. Glad your referring to a much newer device.
I'd suggest he go into Google Play and update all apps. There are sometimes Google updates that need to take place in order to stop those messages from popping up.
SweetPeaMcD,
Your son deserves to have a reliable phone that works. Let's look into this. Is he able to power the phone off? If so, please have him place the phone into Safe Mode. Here are the steps: http://vz.to/1ONsHMX.

Took the phone into a corporate store. Long story short, the update failed. Phone wasn't recognizing the sim card and they're replacing it since it's still under warranty.
He even couldn't get that far; the phone is toast.
