Droid MAXX 2 not seeing USB cameras

I want to use a USB endoscope camera to but my camera does not see it not matter which app I try.  Any help?

Have you verified the phone is compatible?

Please ensure your camera lists the Maxx 2 specifically. Does the phone recognize the connection at all?

Thanks.  I did not and have found that my phone is not listed specifically.  Now I know to make sure of compatibility before I purchase.  Live and learn.
