As far as I know, everything was fine a few hours ago. My battery was getting low, I got the message that I needed to charge it & said OK. I did take a call while the battery was low. Got home, plugged it into the charger, & nothing happened...no signal lights...nothing. Just a black screen. Thinking it had powered itself down, I tried to power it up again. Nothing. I remembered having to reboot it once before, so I tried that also. Nothing. I have no idea what happened, or what to do! Any suggestions?
This is very strange Incognito423! Let's try to revive your phone pronto! Please connect your phone to your computer via the data/USB cable, then press and hold the volume down key and then press the power button at the same time for about 10 seconds. This may prompt your phone to reset and power on. Keep us posted.

Same thing happened to mine yesterday (Thu March 20, 2014). Was there some sort of bug in a software update that would cause this?
Just FYI / background info: I bought my DROID Razr M a year ago last Sept 2013. It will be 2 years this coming Sept. 2014. I charge it up every evening before I go to bed using the USB adapter plugged into an electrical outlet. I turn it completely off every night - I do NOT leave it plugged into the USB charger.
Ever since mine malfunctioned yesterday morning, my battery now discharges very fast unlike ever before. And when I connect it to the USB into the electrical outlet, it gets EXTREMELY HOT! So I quickly unplug it, wait, plug back in and don't get LED light, don't get the Motorola symbol or power up at all.
I contacted Verizon Wireless Support via chat yesterday morning when it first happened and the support specialist had me plug the USB cable into the phone first, then into the USB/electrical outlet and the green LED came on, and the M appeared on the screen. And then the LED went off. Then the battery charging symbol appeared at 3 % charge. Then it disappeared. After 10-15 mins, the battery showed 7% charge - so it appeared to be functioning correctly and charging. I left it charging for an hour or so and it appeared to be at 100%. So I unplugged it. I thought my problems were over.
So I left it in sleep mode and checked a few hours later - it was down to 50% or less. I hadn't even been using it after chatting with support.
Then last night it seemed to be ok - but as I mentioned, it drained the battery again very quickly - unlike ever before. So I turned it off and plugged it into the USB charger to charge before I went to bed.
Went to power it up this morning and the same exact thing happened all over again: Nothing happens when I press the power button. No LED light, nothing.
Tried plugging it in again to the electrical outlet, with the USB charger, and it immediately began getting hot - again.
Unplugged it and left it sitting here while I typed up this message and it's STILL HOT ! And it's not even plugged in!!!
I just ordered a new battery.

I know the power/volume key method and it's not working. Is there any way to get all my stuff off the phone? Mom has priceless things on it!
