Droid Turbo 2 no media transfer options??

Sadly my Droid Turbo 2 gives me no media transfer options. Just sits there, happily charging away. What phone setting could be inhibiting this? "About phone" says "Android 7.0". Any other data needed? Please let me know. Thank you.

When you pull down the notification shade, is there an option to change the USB mode to file transfer?  Have you tried a different cable and/or USB port?

You apparently have to be plugged in to your computer via USB to see the 'pull down status' option on the phone for USB, where you should have the choice to change it to MTP Media Transfer from Charging.
