Set up the dot style screen security. Forgot the pattern. Now it tells me if I enter 4 more attemps the device will be wiped. How can I reset the device security externally?

Turns out Verizon can't do a thing. Only Motorola can, and they're not open on the weekend. Fortunately I just purchased it yesterday so I reset the phone and now I'm setting it up again. Sure would be nice if they would just tell us this stuff.
