before upgrade, hands free worked perfectly in Lincoln MKZ and texting was able to be read on screen in car or listened to on car speakers.Since upgrade to new software, NO TEXTING and calls go back and forth between hands free, to private( phone) , back to hands free.Had dealership check SYNC module in car 3 times and actually upgraded it twice with NE module. problem still exists and I am completely frustrated. I avoid making or receiving calls while driving as much as possible because of this. huge problem because much of my day is phone calls and I do a significant amount of driving. LOST productivity and very stressed!

dealership tested with IPhone and NO problem exists. explained problem to Verizon and was told it is not their fault, or problem BUT the problem is with Motorola's software and Verizon could do NOTHING!

If you go and dig deep into the Lincoln website you'll probably find, like I did with my new F150, that the new Jelly Bean ROM is not supported by the car's sync software. I think it is up to the car manufacturer to update their software, which they probably don't do too often. My "workaround" is to use Robin, a virtual assistant, that I press the microphone icon and can tell it to send SMS, read SMS/email, and many other things. Not as convenient as the vehicle software, but works. Good Luck!
