How do I disable the quick text dialogue pop up message in the new Kit Kat 4.4.4?

I despise the new message pop up is there any way to shut this off. Prior to the update there was a setting to shut this off.

We want to see you enjoying your update, flegelbagel. Are you using the original text application that came with the phone or one downloaded from Google's Play Store? Is the message popping up in your notification bar or a larger pop up bubble?
