What was your old phone? Do you recall how your contacts were saved on the other phone? Google? Phone only?

If your contacts can be backed up to a sim card you can move them to the new phone if your search you should be able to find out how, all phones are different.  Verizon has an app that will back them up and if you sign in with the new phone it should move them back out to the the new phone.  I use a program call Lookout.  This is virus protection software that will also back up contacts, photos, there are other programs that will do it all.  So don't sweat it, do some looking or take it to your local geek and he should be able to figure it out.  Ahh, don't let him near it with a screwdriver, or pair of pliars....lol
