I cannot delete an email from the default email app on my Droid Motorola RAZR HD phone. I know that the email is not being sent because I typed the to: email address incorrectly. I cannot delete the email or even edit the email. Please help. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.
Solved! Go to Correct Answer
I did a google search and got this: If you put the phone in Airplane Mode you can then open the email and delete it. I just tried it and it worked; thank goodness! Hope this helps.
What process are you trying that is not working? It sounds like it is an email that you sent? Where is it that you are trying to delete it?
I am trying to delete it from my outbox.
That sounds like your email settings are wrong as it can not connect to the smtp server to send it out. Check your email account settings to make sure they are correct.
My settings are fine. I believe the issue is because there is a typo in the email address to the person I am trying to send the email to. I am trying to open the email to correct typo but every time I try to open the email I get a message saying, "Cannot open email, email is being sent." I also cannot delete this email either.
Hi! I'm having the same issue. I typed in .cim instead of .com and now I get the same error message and cannot delete the email. It only recently started after the update was performed.
Try clearing the data in the Mail application. Settings > Apps > All tab >scroll down to the Email application > select it and press the "Clear Data" button.
You will have to setup again all the email accounts except for the default Gmail account.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
