Internal Storage Access

I accidentally deleted an app, I went to reinstall it and the database information it kept was gone.  I'm guessing it was deleted from internal storage and earmarked as information to be overwritten. The File Manager app doesn't appear to show any deleted database type information in internal storage. If we were able to root, a recovery app would be able to find these types of deleted files.

My question is if there is any type of Verizon utility that would be able to show app database files that have been deleted from internal storage?

Not what they are asking about.  The info created in the app got deleted and google play does not store that.  What app?  Did they offer back up of any kind?  My games all connect to Facebook so if I install on another device I don't loose my levels.  If it was a notepad app or something unless you backed it up most liky no way to get the info back.

The history of your pre-installed applications will be in your app store, either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. BrittanyC_VZW

Verizon has no clue about addressing this problem. All the customer service reps are clueless too. Firstly, Verizon says that it is just a carrier service and has nothing to do with accessing your data.

However, they lock your phone so you can't access your data.

Verizon cloud does not backup app databases. I don't need video, images, texts, calls and documents. I need a database file in unallocated storage. That's it.

I'm not asking to root the phone. I'm asking for ONE simple app/utility/tool that would allow us to recover deleted files that are in the android Unallocated storage. I'm certain they have this somewhere, but they don't care. This has cost me a great deal and in absence of a resolution, I will be switching to another company.

diimo9 I'm sorry to learn you feel this way. We do keep track of the amount of data being used but we don't store your information (especially deleted). We can tell you that you have spent x amount of time on Social Media and such but that is it. Perhaps you can Google to see if there is an app that can help you get the information you are looking for.

Does any carrier offer what you are asking for?  You didn't state what app or if the app offered back up.  Anytime an app offers back up I use it.  At this point I think there is nothing to do except start from scratch or find a carrier that offers what you want.  Even if the files could be recovered I imagine it's like a computer and the more you use the device the more the deleted files get over written.  When this happens on a computer first thing a computer tech says is stop using the computer immediately then try some recovery software.  Don't supposed there is a recovery app for phones.
