Is there going to be an update to 5.0? Or is this like Apple trying to make us buy new phones?
Doubtful. Software updates for Android devices generally only continue for two years beyond the original release date.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
Is there any way of putting it on my phone?
Sorry, but no, not officially...
That doesn't seem right. I don't have any issues with the phone but can't run the echo without the update.
The phone launched in 2013 and was retired roughly a year later. They don't continue development for phones that have been out this long (and not offered/sold in years).
Sorry.
NATLUN24, you have a great phone and I am glad that it has lasted so long. I would like to thank everyone in the community for always being so supportive. Your phone works great now but if you were able to download the Lollipop (5.0) software to your phone it could cause your phone to malfunction. Technology requires that we continue to improve on the functions of our devices, which sometimes require customers to update equipment more frequently.
