Moto Z Force screen is not working

How can I get pictures off of a Moto Z Force when the screen has stopped working after a few months? I have had to purchase a USB-C to USB-A cable in an attempt to retrieve my files, but it will not work without the screen working. Never had a phone that did not come with the required cables for data transfer. Then when I buy the cable it doesn't work. Any suggestions? Thanks

We want you to be able to retrieve these pictures, CMichael1. Did you save them onto the Verizon Cloud or another cloud service? Have you attempted to use the device in a Verizon Corporate store to transfer the data?

Most likely you have to change the USB connection setting in order to transfer pictures. Unfortunately, that's not so easy when the screen doesn't work.
