How do I slide off previous apps used? With my Moto X I use to hit the lower right icon and I could swipe them off.

I found that swiping left to right on the home button shows me my previous
apps in which I can then swipe right (off).

AJGUTIER, closing your applications when you're not using them ensures your mobile data is not consumed. I'd be delighted to provide you the instructions you seek. Congratulations on getting your new Moto X. To close your applications, please follow these steps.
1. From the home screen, tap the Recent Apps icon.
2. To remove an application from the list, swipe an application to the left or right.
3. The application is now closed.
