Normal Keyboard Disappeared/ Only Option SWYPE. HELP!!

A week ago I recieved a replacement Droid Razr (Ver. 4.1.2 Jelly Bean). Sometime over the aspt 24 hours, my normal keyboard disappeared. I tried typing something and all I saw was a SWYPE keyboard. Since I got this new phone, I sometimes found that the Defaul Input would automatically switch to swype. Tonight, when i went back to settings, there was no option other than SWYPE. I downloaded a Google Keyboard by Goole Inc. However, I am reluctant to use it because of the permissions that it wants. The warning included " input methon may be able to collect the text you type including PW, CC#s". Whywould the default basic keyboard have disappered?
