Phone is frozen on diamond pattern

My phone is will turn on and off but is stuck on the diamond pattern.  have tried holding combinations

of power and volume buttons, with and without SIM card in, to no avail.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear about your phone, let's get it back to life! Does it charge? Please make sure it's fully charged and LED indicator lights up when plugged in. Then, press and hold the Power and Volume down key for one minute to reset phone. Does the 'diamond screen' show any options to choose from?
