Phone won't charge or turn on

So, my battery ran down last night, phone powered down.  I hooked it to the charger, but the charger light didn't come on.  I tried all three of my chargers and a couple different outlets.  Still wouldn't turn on. Left it on the charger all night long.  Still won't turn on.  I tried the little reset trick where you press the power button and the up volume at the same time, didn't work.  I hate this phone.  Is it officially dead?

Try the power button and down volume combo. My android device recently did the same thing. I tried the pwr/upvol combo and nothing happened, so I tried the down vol instead and it came back to life (whew!)
