Problem with in-car Bluetooth feature

This just started to happen few days ago.

Symptoms:  When I call someone using Bluetooth while I'm driving, I appears I get connected with the other person but I can't hear the person.  Also, when I call, there is no ring.

At the moment, the phone status screen says it's "updating Gmail."  And I believe it's been doing it for a while.  Possibly this is related to the Bluetooth problem?

Anyone with same problems?

Solutions?
