Razr M bad voice quality, help!

My husband and I just received our new Razr M phones last week and the sound quality is awlful! When I talk to someone who doesn't have this phone I can hear them crystal clear but I have been told that I come across as fuzzy or tinny on the other end. I know what they are talking about because when I talk to my husband with the same phone he sounds like that to me. Why is the sound quality so bad and how can I fix it?
