Set Up My Profile

I have set up my profile several times, and it will not show up.  When I send a text message to someone, their pictures come through that I have saved in my contacts, by my picture and name is blank (grayed out).  How do you set my profile, do I call the last and first name something else than my name?

Hello lolasmom! I'm eager to help you resolve your concerns over your profile. I must admit to being a bit uncertain over the profile we're working with. Your post is under the Droid Turbo section of the forum, so I presume that's your device model. I own one as well, so I am very familar with it. Are you using the preloaded message application, or have you downloaded one? Can you share some additional details? Thanks!
