Why do I receive 2 split messages when I receive sms?

When I receive sms from a tmobile or sprint user, even a short message(55 characters) is split into 2 messages. Why?

Sent from my friends' galaxy s 5 or Motorola z Droid.  I am using moto z Droid.

YoungMeezy, your texting experience is important. Getting split messages would make communication difficult, but we'll get this fixed. How long has this been going on? What happens on their end? Does this happen on all messages? What messaging app are you using?

Texting is a great way to keep in contact with others, so let's check that out. Have you always received split texts from these users, or was it a recent change? It depends on the phones and text programs your friends are using, but split messages can be a normal experience on Android in most situations.
