Why would an activated Droid Maxx show a notification that the Sim Card had been activated months after activating the phone?

The phone was on silent during the night and the notification came in during that time.

Amethyst78,

This is a mystery that we should be able to help solve! All of our 4G LTE phones go through the activation process every time they are turned off or go from having no service to having service again. This could have prompted the notification that you saw.
