That is not good at all! Let's try a few steps to get this working. Please power off and on the phone, and test. Also, do you use a 3rd party app for taking pictures? If you do, could you please uninstall those apps and test? Please keep us posted!

I turned off and on and that didn't help. I am using the camera on the phone, not a 3rd party.

gf00329,
We're here to help! Sorry to hear about your troubles. Have you restarted your device? I would also force stop and clear data/cache from the app. You do this by going into the settings>apps>locate camera app>clear data/cache and force stop.
Also, try the camera in safe mode and see what your results are. Instructions; http://vz.to/1z2K1Ql
Let us know if you still need assistance!

I do that and it still tells me unable to capture video. I can still take
pictures but not video. Not even through messages can I do it.

@gf00329,
Thanks for trying that! I definitely want you to be able to use all the functions of the camera on your phone.
How long have you had this issue? Has there been any damage to the phone? If rebooting the phone and clearing the cache for the camera app doesn't help, the next step would be to perform a hard reset http://vz.to/1q1inD7. Keep us posted.

I was able to fix it by turning off handsfree voice which I find to be
stupid and you guys need to put a patch in for that.

Go to the Google search now and then scroll to the bottom and go to
settings and then go to voice.
